The Open Water Swim School is for adults and children,
it is devoted to teaching survival and safety in the open water, providing a quality aquatic education and building a lifelong
skill for good health and enjoyment.

Time
Classes begin at 8am and run for half an hour, every Saturday mornings during the season.
Weather
Classes will always run, weather permitted. Please check this website before attending the
beach to ensure classes are confirmed.
Classes will run in light rain and light wind, however, if cancelled, all
parents will be advised via text message and an extra day of lessons will be 'tacked' onto the end of term
to make up. If weather does not permit a lesson at the end of term, monies will be refunded.
Where:
The swim school is located at Lady Robinson Beach, within the nets. This beach is opposite
Scarborough Street, Monterey (Botany Bay).
Parking
Parking is available
free of charge onsite, carpark entrance is from The Grand Parade - south bound.
Qualifications
All teachers are specially trained to teach in open water, hold AUSTSWIM certificates, attend
regular mandatory in-house training and hold CPR and/or Senior First Aid qualifications.
Amenities
Council restrooms and an outdoor freshwater shower are available onsite. There are no change
rooms.
